Renewal Procedure from the former Osaka University International Student Guarantee Program
The Osaka University International Student Guarantee Program by Osaka University has ended as of May 2019, both new and renewal. This system covered the "Guarantor" and "Fire Insurance" for international students living in apartments, so two new procedures, A. Lease Guarantee Contract (rent guarantee) and B. Fire Insurance are required. Osaka University recommends the following insurance products for these procedures.
A. Lease guarantee contract (rent guarantee):
Coop Rent Insure
(12,000 yen for the first year and 10,000 yen per year for renewal)

B. Fire Insurance :
General Student Life Insurance with "Gakkensai" for international students
(5,330 yen per year)
You can check the details at the above link.
We may recommend a different insurance plan,depending on the contents of your contract.
The above information is available at the Osaka University Coop. "MYROOM" Toyonaka and Suita branches. If you wish to continue your contract, please follow the instructions as below.
STEP1:
Please submit the following documents with you when you apply.
(1)Student card of Osaka University
(2)Residence Card
(3)Foreign Student Housing General Compensation Agreement (Current Housing Agreement)
(4) Applicant for Comprehensive Insurance for Foreign Students' Housing (showing the details of the fire insurance coverage for the current residence)
STEP2:
Please be sure to make an appointment for the procedure by email in advance. Please send an email to Osaka University Coop. "MYROOM" with "Coop Rent Insure Application" in the subject line of the email.

・Store to visit (Toyonaka or Suita)
・Desired date and time of visit
・Take pictures (1)～(4), and attach to a ZIP file or something with a password.

大阪大学留学生保証制度の契約終了に伴う更新手続きについて
大阪大学による、大阪大学留学生保証制度は2019年5月受付分をもって新規も更新も終了いたしました。
本制度は、留学生の皆さんが下宿するにあたっての、「保証人」と「火災保険」をカバーしていましたので、それを補う新たな2つの手続き、「 Ａ. 賃貸借保証契約（家賃保証） 」と「 Ｂ. 火災保険加入 」が必要です。大阪大学より、これらにつきまして以下商品が推奨されています。
Ａ. 賃貸借保証契約（家賃保証）: コープレントインシュア
（初年12,000円/年・更新時10,000円/年）
Ｂ. 火災保険加入 : 外国人留学生向け学研災付帯学生生活総合保険（5,330円/年）

※契約内容によっては別保険をご案内することがあります。
上記につきまして、大阪大学生協マイルーム豊中店・吹田店でお手続きを承っています。
お住いの契約を継続される方は必ずお手続きください。

③留学生住宅 総合 補償契約書（今の住まいの契約書）
④留学生住宅総合補償加入者控（今の住まいの火災保険加入の内容がわかるもの）
